Meanwhile, Trump’s inauguration was literally the most watched program in American history at 31.1 million viewers
The most watched program in American history at 115.2 million viewers was Super Bowl XLIX on February 1, 2015. And the only non-sporting event that made the top 20 of most watched broadcasts was at number 8 the M*A*S*H finale on February 28, 1983 with 105.9 million viewers. Trump’s inauguration wasn’t even the most viewed inauguration, that goes to President Reagan’s first inauguration with nearly 42 million viewers, the second most watched inauguration goes to President Obama’s first inauguration with 37 million viewers. So Trump’s inauguration was very far from “literally the most watched program in American history” as you put it.
Dear authors: you have to learn the difference between a bad boy and a bastard abuser.
Um, yes.
For those of you who are confused:
Bad boy: probably poor, doesn’t follow rules because he thinks they are harmful or stifling (”I can’t sit there all day when teachers don’t give a shit if I learn or not”), outbursts are at injustices, fights to defend (”leave them alone/you’re hurting this place leave!”)
Bastard abuser: probably middle class or higher, doesn’t follow rules because he think’s he’s above them (”school is a waste of time I can learn what I need to from books”), outbursts are about things not going the way he wants them, fights to prove superiority or lay claim (”stay off my turf/away from my girl!”)
Dr. Willie Parker, who is trained as a gynecologist and OBGYN, is a hero for the pro-choice movement because he’s honest about the undiscussed aspects of getting (or not getting) an abortion. Watch how he gives a consultation.
That last statement about regret is so important, because so many people don’t understand what it is or what causes it. Anti-choicers exploit this by manipulating pregnant people and creating doubt, which only increases the likelihood of regret, no matter what decision the pregnant person makes. You know what is best for you, even if it takes some time to figure it out.

“We want women to be able to come in and feel completely relaxed,” ~ Quhshi said.
Quhshi also noted that while Le’Jemalik was created with Muslims in mind, “women of all faiths, races, and ethnicities” are welcome.
This store is in Brooklyn, please support if you can; this is such a huge need for us muslim women.
The present U.S. administration wants you to be overwhelmed. They want you to burn out. They want to swamp you with bad news so that you don’t know where to turn or how to fight back, or whether you have the energy to be effective.
A suggestion: for every piece of bad news you reblog, reblog something about resistance. Reblog something about how people are building something, in direct contrast to those who are trying to tear us down. Reblog something that lifts your spirits and reminds you why we fight.
Do not do their work for them. Consciously choose to reblog light as well as the important news of what the administration is up to.
They do not get to make us despair.
yesterday and today were extremely hard for me with the deluge of constant terrible news, so i am trying very hard to remember that resistance is real, and it will continue to show up in unexpected but uplifting ways.
a list of some not-so-terrible things that happened today:
richard spencer got punched (again) // eta actually i’m unclear if this was the second time, both vid & pics look like they were taken at the inauguration. but now we have proof of both
feel free to add more. none of this is a reason to sit back and let other people take care of things for us, but remember a majority of the country hates this administration, and there’s power in numbers.
for every piece of bad information we share, we should give at least one way on how to combat it. sharing bad news makes us feel disempowered, but if we normalize thinking reactively to any of trumps polices we can resist them effectively. mutual aid is so important everyone!!!!!!!
